British alpinist Fay Manners makes Eiger history with first woman-led route establishment
British alpinist Fay Manners has become the first British woman to establish a new climbing route on the Eiger North Face in the Swiss Alps, creating a 900-metre route called 'Solar Eclipse' over 13 days with Swiss partner Roger Schaeli.
