Deep-sea mining threatens majority of hydrothermal vent molluscs, warns conservation body
The International Union for Conservation of Nature warns that deep-sea mining operations threaten 62 percent of mollusc species living around hydrothermal vents, putting 125 unique species at severe risk of extinction.
