Sabah Enacts Landmark Muslim Succession and Native Courts Legislation
Sabah's parliament has passed two significant pieces of legislation: the Muslim Succession Bill 2026, the first of its kind in Malaysia to govern Muslim estate administration under Syariah Courts, and the Native Courts Bill 2026, modernising the customary justice framework.
