Malaysia Targets 50% Cut in Food Imports by 2050, Says Ahmad Zahid
Malaysia aims to slash food imports by 50 per cent by 2050, targeting 15 per cent cuts by 2030 and 30 per cent by 2040. The Rural and Regional Development Ministry will develop underutilised land into agro-farming projects to boost domestic food security.
